NewsLaunch of the new season IABL Players of the International Amateur Basketball League (International Amateur Basketball League) on Saturday November 10 will begin the new season 2012/2013. Competition consists of six tournaments, and the first one will be held in Sopot. Fans will see performances by six teams from Latvia, Lithuania (two teams), Belarus, Ukraine and Poland in Sports Hall of the 100th anniversary of Sopot, in which Trefl Sopot - Vice-Champion of Poland – plays some of their matches. The tournament will begin with a solemn inauguration. Then two Lithuanian teams will face each other – Basketball League from Kaunas and Vilnius Basketball League. Srodowiskowej League team, defending the colors red and white, will start the match confrontation with Belarus. In the next meeting the Latvian Basketball Amateur League will face with Kiev team from Monsters League. After that, the field re-run representatives of Pomeranian amateur basketball league, and team from Kaunas will rival the Poles. The fifth game of the Sopot tournament will be a meeting Ukrainians and Belorussians. The confrontation of Vilnius staff with the Latvian team is at the end of the tournament. Time for a summing-up and share experiences and comments will be during the evening feast in the restaurant located on the beach. International Basketball Tournament Independence Day is organized by the PMEDIA in collaboration with the School Complex No 3 in Sopot and the association of Trivium EWP. Drinks Coca-Cola will help basketball players to cool down emotions. The honorary patron exercises Pomorskie Marshal Mieczysław Struk and President of Sopot, Jacek Karnowski.
