Players from five different countries will compete for Vilnius mayor Arturas Zuokas cup

On December 15th Vilnius residents and visitors, and everyone who likes basketball will have an exclusive opportunity to join this amateur basketball event. In „Lietuvos Rytas“ arena will be held the second „International Amateur Basketball League“ (IABL) tour. In this event organized by Vilnius Basketball League (VKL) will participate six teams from five countries (Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Belarus and Ukraine). They will compete for the points in the regular season and for Vilnius mayor Arturas Zuokas cup. Six games will be played during the day, and the culmination of the event will be the last two games: At 17:00 o‘clock the crowd in „Lietuvos Rytas“ arena will see the first IABL season semifinal participants: KKL (Kaunas, Lithuania) – Kiev (Ukraine) and at 18:45: VKL (Vilnius, Lithuania) – Minsk (Belarus).

The organizers promise a spectacular show with prizes, contests and surprises for the fans during the last game of the day.

During the event the audience will be pleased with the performances from dancers group „ACTION“ lead by V. Zajankauskaite. They have gratified others with their performances in LKL (Lithuanian Basketball League) games. During this tour Vilnius Basketball League (VKL) and their partners – VU Santariskiu blood center will invite all to register for the blood donation campaign.

It is expected to see and hear Vilnius mayor Arturas Zuokas in the arena to welcome the participants during the main evening games.

After all the basketball games the crowd will be invited to freely attend one of the night clubs. The tour participants will attend specially for them prepared dinner. The location of the dinner they will find out the last minute; it is going to be a suprise!

This is the first basketball celebration in Vilnius that brings together five countries basketball amateurs. The admission to the event is FREE.
